Pastured Raised Beef FAQs
Is your beef grass-fed?
Yes. Grass is the foundation of our beef cattle’s diet. During the grazing season they’re on pasture, and in the winter they’re fed dry hay to stay healthy through the colder months.
Is your beef 100% grass-fed?
We don’t label our beef as 100% grass-fed. While grass and hay are the primary feeds, we focus on a forage-based system that fits our land and climate rather than chasing labels.
Is your beef grain-finished?
No. We do not grain-finish our beef like large feedlots do. Our cattle are raised with steady, natural growth rather than being pushed on a heavy grain ration at the end.
What does “forage-based” mean?
Forage-based means the majority of the diet comes from grasses and forages, not grain-heavy feedlot rations. It’s a slower, more natural way to raise cattle.
Do your cattle live on pasture?
Yes. Our beef cattle spend the grazing season on pasture and are cared for year-round with comfort and health as a priority.
