What Makes Our Farm Fresh Eggs Different From Store Eggs?

Did you ever wonder what the difference is between our farm fresh eggs and supermarket eggs?

When you think of healthy eggs what do you think about? I think of chickens out in fresh air, eating fresh grass and scratching for insects. 

But is that how all chickens are raised? Let's take a look.

Did you know that a large amount of laying hens in USA never get to go outside and eat fresh grass and insects. In fact statics show that 90% of chickens live in CAFO (Concentrated animal feeding operation). Most CAFO chickens barns house around 30,000 - 80,000 laying hens at any given time.

Here is some key differences in our Free Range Chickens VS CAFO Chickens.

Ours: Get access to the outside year round, with plenty of room to eat and lay their eggs.


Theirs: Raised in barns with little room to move beside eating and laying their eggs.

Ours: Have plenty of fresh air and sunlight. Manure is evenly spread over the pasture and doesn't create toxic ammonia vapors. 


Theirs: Crammed inside with little or no natural light, there manure builds up and creates toxic ammonia vapors.

Ours: No antibiotics or medications.


Theirs: Given constant antibiotics and medications which is mixed right in with the water and feed lines.

Ours: Fed non-GMO feed, that contains no medications or antibiotics.


Theirs: Fed feed containing medications and antibiotics.
 
Ours: Has a healthy immune system, from all the sunlight and fresh air.


Theirs: Constantly getting sick and dying from all the toxic vapors and crowded living spaces.
